A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after sharing how certain everyday experiences remind her of the reality of being single.
According to her, visiting the mechanic alone to fix her car often makes her reflect on what life could be like if she were married.
“Anytime I come to the mechanic to repair my car alone, that’s when I realise how single life really affects me.”
She explained that she believes things would be different if she had a partner, as her husband would likely handle such situations or make arrangements on her behalf.
However, she was quick to clarify that her feelings are not coming from desperation, but from the emotional weight of handling everything alone.
“Because if I were married, my husband wouldn’t let me come here, he would either go himself to fix it or call the mechanic to come home. Not like I’m desperate for a man, but the pain is always fresh.”
