Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has likened his style of leadership to that of a driver taking passengers to a destination better than the one they were accustomed to, while explaining how he handled political opposition during his tenure as governor of Anambra State.
Speaking during an interview With Chude, Obi reflected on the resistance he initially faced in office despite his efforts to introduce reforms. He said, “I was like a driver who came in trying to drive people to a better destination than they were used to.”
Expanding on the analogy, Obi said many people initially misunderstood the direction he was taking the state.
