The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, a fugitive wanted for violating the conditions of his release.
The FBI, in a wanted notice published on its official website, said Adediran has ties to South Florida and is wanted in connection with federal fraud charges dating back to 2001.
According to the agency, Adediran allegedly entered a bank in Champaign, Illinois, in August 2001 and attempted to withdraw funds from a deposited fraudulent cheque.
The FBI also alleged that he used stolen personal information belonging to United States citizens to open bank and charge accounts.
Adediran subsequently fled the Central District of Illinois in late December 2001, shortly before his trial was scheduled to begin on federal charges of bank fraud, identification document fraud and credit card fraud, the FBI said.

On January 2, 2002, a federal arrest warrant was issued for him by the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois, after he was charged with violation of conditions of release.
The FBI lists Adediran under several aliases, including Kevin Olumide Adediran, Kevin Deumiof Adediran, Eric O. Williams, Stephen Dediyi, Maxo Alexandre, Olumide Adkins, Ademola O. Adebiyi and Edward N. Anderson.
The agency describes him as a Black male, with a date of birth of October 11, 1968. He is listed as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The FBI’s Springfield Field Office is handling the case and urged anyone with information on Adediran’s whereabouts to contact their local FBI office or the nearest American embassy or consulate.
The agency also provides an option for members of the public to submit anonymous tips online.
