Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Monday took responsibility for cows roaming the streets of the capital city.
Wike apologized for cows roaming Abuja streets.
Speaking during his monthly media chat in Abuja, Wike disclosed that roads constructed by the FCT Administration are nominated by the people of the capital city.
Wike said the construction of the roads have helped in reducing insecurity in the capital city.
The minister reiterated that he would be commissioning projects alongside the President to mark his third year in office.
He said: “I apologize that up till now there are cows still roaming the streets of Abuja, I take responsibility.
“This projects are not only concentrated in the city centres but also in the satellite town. From roads to water, to residences of public officers.
“We don’t just stand and say let’s do these roads, the people appoint and nominate the road that they want to be of use to them and it helps in terms of reducing security and having access to their farm lands.”
