Former Almajiri Child, Abbas, Emerges ADP Presidential Candidate

ABUJA: A former Almajiri child in Kano State, Aliyu Abbas, has been elected the presidential candidate for the Action Democratic Party -ADP- in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Abbas was elected at the party’s presidential primary which was held at the women’s centre, Abuja.

Described as a political strategist, youth empowerment advocate, diplomat, and humanitarian, Abbas hails from Biu Local Government Area in Borno State.

In his speech, the Founder and Youth President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), promised to harness artificial intelligence to fix Nigeria’s domestic challenges.

He also disclosed that he is not against old politicians in the country but fault the current Nigeria political system.

“I am not against the government, I am not against the old political class but I fault our political system. We are not American or European. So I’ll use our artificial intelligence to fix our problems.

Abbas described his nomination as the beginning of a new era in Nigeria’s political landscape, pledging to champion national renewal, inclusive governance, economic transformation and youth empowerment.

The former political aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also stressed that his presidential bid is independent and not linked to any previous political association.

He called on Nigerians across ethnic, religious and political divides to unite behind a common vision of progress, justice, prosperity and national greatness, adding that details of his policy agenda and nationwide campaign plans would be unveiled in due course.

He said a craft campaign team will be set up in consultation with Nigerians for good value governance.

Aliyu expressed thanks to ADP leadership led by Yabagi Sani and other members of the National Working Committee for the efforts to build the party.

“I extend my greetings to those who aspired with me to join in this effort to build a good country.

While declaring the convention open, the ADP National Chairman, Yabagi Yusuf Sani, called on women, Youth, professionals, states chapters, support groups and all patriotic Nigerians to join hands with ADP.

“Let’s build a party that listens, a party that includes, a party that organises and a party that can govern with integrity,” he added.
