The Jigawa State Government has announced that the funeral prayer for the late Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Sani II, will take place today, Friday, at five p.m. at the Emir’s Palace in Gumel.
The Secretary to the Jigawa State Government, Bala Ibrahim, disclosed this while briefing journalists in Dutse.
The late Emir passed away on Thursday afternoon in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness.
According to the state government, the funeral prayer will be conducted in accordance with Islamic rites.
