Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray teammates are set to receive a combined bonus of €5 million following their dominant win over Fenerbahçe in the Istanbul derby.
The incentive, approved by club president Dursun Özbek, comes after Galatasaray’s 3-0 victory at Rams Park, a result that significantly strengthens their push for the Turkish Süper Lig title.
Derby win triggers major financial reward
Osimhen marked his return from injury with an immediate impact, opening the scoring just before half-time with a composed finish after controlling the ball with his chest.
Barış Alper Yılmaz doubled the lead in the second half, before Lucas Torreira sealed the result late on.
The victory has been described in Turkish media as one of the most financially rewarding matches in the club’s recent history.
Title race tilts in Galatasaray’s favour
The result leaves Galatasaray seven points clear at the top of the table with three matches remaining, placing them firmly on course for a fourth consecutive league title.
Osimhen’s contribution has been central to that run-in. The Nigerian forward has now recorded either a goal or assist in each of his last 10 league appearances, producing 10 goals and four assists in that period.
His influence extends beyond performance metrics, with the 27-year-old also among the club’s highest earners, reportedly receiving significant salary and bonus packages.
