A Ghanaian lady has taken to social media to share her disappointment after allegedly discovering that the iPhone 17 Pro Max she ordered from the United Kingdom was not an original device.
According to her account, she became suspicious after receiving the phone and checking through its settings, where she noticed unusual features that suggested the device could be counterfeit.
She pointed out that the phone displayed “Apple Acconut” instead of the correct “Apple Account” spelling and also lacked the expected battery health option found on genuine iPhones.
The lady, who appeared shocked by the discovery, said she believed she was purchasing an original iPhone but later realised that the device had several fake features.
The video showing the alleged counterfeit phone has since circulated online, with many social media users advising buyers to carefully verify devices before making expensive purchases.
Some users also encouraged customers to buy from authorised sellers and check serial numbers, software features, and other authenticity indicators before paying for premium smartphones.
