Gov Yusuf mourns elder statesman, late Shehu Yahaya

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has expressed sorrow over the passing of elder statesman, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya, describing his death as a great loss to Kano State and the nation at large.

In a condolence message issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano on Sunday, Governor Yusuf described the late Alhaji Shehu Yahaya as a successful businessman who lived a decent life marked by honesty, integrity, and unwavering service to humanity.

The Governor noted that throughout his lifetime, Alhaji Shehu Yahaya remained committed to the development of his community of Dakata Kawaji, Nasarawa LGA and the promotion of peace, leaving behind an enduring legacy of selfless service, exemplary leadership, and philanthropy.

“The passing of Alhaji Shehu Yahaya is a painful loss not only to his family but also to the entire people of Kano State. We have lost a father, a respected businessman, and a patriotic citizen whose contributions to humanity and society will continue to be remembered for generations,” Governor Yusuf said.

Governor Yusuf prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, loved ones, and the people of Kano State the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The deceased is survived by many children, including Engineer Muhammad Shehu, a Senior Manager with Gerawa Group of Companies.
