A yet to be identified Ghanaian lady has come forward with an alarming account of a young girl being se..x.ually harassed by a man seated beside her on a tro-tro traveling from West Hills Mall to Circle, an incident she says only stopped after she and other passengers intervened.
According to her, the girl was heard repeatedly asking the man to stop during the journey, prompting her to step in and confront the situation directly.
Instead of backing down, the man reportedly grew confrontational, escalating tensions inside the vehicle until several passengers moved in to restrain him. He was eventually handed over to police at Kaneshie, with passengers hoping the matter would be taken seriously given what the young girl had endured.
However, the woman says the suspect was ultimately released, a development that has left her frustrated and prompted her to speak out publicly.
She’s since urged members of the public to stay alert and proactive when it comes to protecting children in public spaces, stressing that predatory behavior can happen anywhere, even in the middle of a crowded commercial vehicle with other passengers present.
Her account has sparked concern online, with many questioning why the suspect wasn’t held further given the seriousness of the allegation, and renewing calls for greater accountability when such cases are reported to police.
