A Nigerian woman has sparked reactions online after opening up about how her husband allegedly changed after marriage, leaving her confused and heartbroken.
According to her, the same man who once went the extra mile to keep her happy now barely makes any effort in the relationship.
In her words, she said:
“I used to think my husband would always pamper me because, when we were dating, he would even kneel and cry to apologise. There was a time he travelled overnight by road to Enugu just to apologise to me. But now, after marriage, he’s not like that anymore.”
The woman explained that during their dating stage, her husband was extremely attentive and always willing to resolve issues, no matter how stressful it was.
However, she said things took a different turn after they got married, as the energy, effort, and emotional attention he once showed her reduced drastically.
She added that the change has made her question whether the love was ever genuine or if he was simply trying to impress her before marriage.
“I thought I would always be the one making decisions in our marriage because he allowed me to take the lead during our dating stage. But now, that is no longer the case, and it often leads to arguments,” she added.
Her story has since sparked conversations online, with many people sharing similar experiences about how partners change after marriage.
