Hon. Tony Nwobodo Celebrates Chief Ike Ekweremadu @ 64, says Nigeria’s former Deputy President of the Senate is a worthy Ambassador

An Enugu based Business man and Philanthropist, Hon. Tony Nwobodo has felicitated with the former President of the Senate, Chief Dr Ike Ekweremadu on his 64 birthday, describing him as a worthy Ambassador of Igbo man and Nigeria.

Chief Nwobodo who hails from Amechi, Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State, noted that despite Senator Ekweremadu’s current travail, he distinguished himself as Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate from 2007 to 2019 and lifted many indigent people from poverty through scholarship and employment. He attracted many developmental projects to the people.

“His Excellency, your intelligence and excellence in leadership roles especially as an advocate of constitutional amendments and restructuring are unparalleled”, he stated.

Senator Ekweremadu who became known for advocating constitutional amendments and restructuring debates in Nigeria, holds the traditional title “Ikeoha,” meaning “the strength of the people.”

He was born on May 12, 1962, in Mpu, Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State,
