Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has restated his dedication to securing 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu within the 2027 normal elections, linking the pledge to his administration’s ongoing developmental strides throughout the state.
Talking on the South–South Stakeholders Discussion board of the Progressives Governors Discussion board (PGF) held in Benin Metropolis over the weekend, Okpebholo emphasised that his performance-driven strategy to governance can be the inspiration for delivering on the promise he not too long ago made to the president.
The discussion board had in attendance Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Minister of Regional Growth, Hon. Abubakar Momoh, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Growth Fee (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Obuku, former Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva, Senators Adams Oshiomhole and Neda Imasuen, and several other different key stakeholders and APC chieftains from the South–South area.
Okpebholo acknowledged that he had taken improvement to areas beforehand uncared for by previous administrations, together with the house group of former Governor Godwin Obaseki.
