The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the first batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, though candidates will have to wait before printing their official result slips.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said in a statement on Friday night that the result slip printing feature would be activated at a later date. For now, candidates who sat the examination on Thursday, April 16, can only check their scores via SMS.
The board also issued a stern warning against score manipulation, cautioning that tampering with official result messages was a criminal offence.
“Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform (55019/66019) to fabricate or alter scores with the intent to mislead others, including parents. Such actions constitute a serious criminal offence,” Benjamin said.
The 2026 UTME, which commenced on April 16, is scheduled to run until April 22 across examination centres nationwide.
How to Check Your Score via SMS
Candidates can check their scores by sending UTMERESULT to 55019. A minimum of N50 airtime must be available on the phone number linked to the JAMB registration before sending the message.
How to Print Your Result Slip Once Activated
The official result slip — which bears the candidate’s passport photograph, full scores, and details required for admission processing — will be available for printing on JAMB’s e-Facility portal at efacility.jamb.gov.ng at a fee of N1,500.
Once the printing option is enabled, candidates should visit the portal and log in with their registered email address and password. From the dashboard, they should click Print Result Slip, proceed with payment of the N1,500 fee, select 2026 as the examination year, enter their JAMB registration number, then download and print the slip.
JAMB advised candidates to use only its official websites — efacility.jamb.gov.ng or portal.jamb.gov.ng — to avoid falling victim to online scams. Candidates were also urged to keep multiple printed copies of their result slips, as institutions typically require them during screening and admission.
Those who have forgotten their login details can use the Forgot Password option on the portal or visit the nearest JAMB office with their registration details.
