French police have arrested 416 people during violent clashes that erupted when thousands poured onto the streets during Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League final victory, the country’s interior minister said.
Just over 280 of the arrests took place in Paris, Minister of Interior Laurent Nunez announced, calling the unrest in which seven police officers were wounded “absolutely unacceptable”.
