Nigerian radio personality Roby Ekpo has reacted to the backlash he received for being openly emotional after his marriage collapsed.
The OAP, who had previously narrated his ordeal on the Honest Bunch podcast was criticised for publicizing his marital issues and crying during the interview.
In a recent statement issued on social media, Roby expressed hos heartfelt appreciation for the support he received from colleagues and fans, stressing that he needed to open up.
“Hello people, thank you for all the support and kind words. The DMs, the emails and calls. I love you all. My heart feels lighter and free,” he stated.
He also offered an apology to all those who got offended by his rears and emotional breakdown, noting that he is now focused on his career and improving his life.
Roby who was issued a cease and desist by the estranged wife after the incident, also added that the issue is being handled legally.
“For those who my tears offended, I am sorry. Pain leaves the body in many forms. Na love I love. I only know how to love deeply. Na the Roby way be that. From this point, it’s my work, my career and my undying passion to be good to myself and be softer with myself. Man must see life, but again man must grow with lessons. I am on a journey. Every other matter is being handled by my lawyers. Thank you and God bless us all,” he stated.
