Popular billionaire real estate mogul King Ochacho has addressed claims that he gifted TikToker Peller and his wife, Jarvis, a ₦400 million house to promote his son’s music.
Speaking during an appearance on Pretty Mike’s white party, the businessman explained that he decided to gift the house after seeing the young couple at a wedding in Lagos, insisting that the gesture came from his heart and had no conditions attached.
He disclosed that the house is currently under construction, adding that he also decided to furnish the property after seeing Peller voluntarily promote his son.
“When I saw them, I decided to bless them with a house with no responsibility. The house I gave to Peller, I didn’t give him the house to come and start advertising my son. No. It’s not because of my son’s music. I just gave to him from my heart,” he said.
Ochacho expressed frustration over reports suggesting that the gift came with an obligation for Peller to promote his son, insisting that he never asked the influencer to campaign for or publicise his music.
“Something that I gave to him free of charge with no condition. Have you guys ever seen it in this world before? If a politician gives you something, they will tell you to go and campaign for them. I didn’t tell Peller to go and campaign or publicize my son. He just decided to do it willingly,” he added
He added that Peller’s voluntary support prompted him to take another step by furnishing the house.
Ochacho also noted that he achieved his first ₦1 billion at the age of 21, while expressing confidence that the property would be completed and handed over to the couple.
