Nigerian singer Skales has stirred reactions online after expressing doubts about the candidates expected to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Skales says no candidate can take Nigeria to a better place
The conversation began after journalist Oseni Rufai asked social media users who they would vote for in the next presidential election. Responding to the question, Skales said he would choose none.
His comment prompted another user, identified as Jayfreshworld, to suggest that the singer had not done enough research on the available options.

After Skales said he would not support any candidate, another X user challenged his position, insisting that there were qualified contenders on the list.
Reacting to the singer’s response, the user wrote:
“When you say none means you haven’t done your research, they’re good candidates on that list”
Skales, however, maintained his stance, replying:
“To be honest none ! I don’t see any good candidate that can take this country to a better place”
