A young woman has stirred conversations across social media after sharing a humorous yet controversial opinion about dating, claiming that relationships were more exciting during the era of what she referred to as the “Yahoo boys” of 2019 to 2022.
In a video that has since gone viral, the lady reflected on her past dating experiences and compared them with what she believes is a noticeable change in the behavior of some men today.
According to her, men she encountered during those years were more generous and eager to impress the women they were interested in.
Expressing her nostalgia, she claimed that even simple conversations would often result in financial gifts and unexpected acts of generosity.
“I miss Yahoo boys of 2020, 2021. They are the ones that used to impress us. Just a small question like, ‘How are you, baby girl?’ and they have already asked for your account number. Where are you living? Aza. Have you eaten? Aza. Not Yahoo boys of nowadays,” she said.
The lady went on to suggest that dating during that period felt more enjoyable and memorable compared to what she currently observes.
According to her, many of the men from that era spared no expense when it came to treating their partners and making them feel special.
“2021, 2022, 2019, those benefit boys, they will spoil your life with enjoyment. All the Yahoo boys of nowadays are not impressing us anymore. God will have mercy,” she added.
