The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has recounted his encounter with the ‘fake Director General’ of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi.
Naijaonpoint reports that Kalu, speaking on the floor of the green chamber during plenary on Wednesday, said he is a victim of Adeyemi’s activities.
According to Kalu, his pictures are all over the news, standing side by side with Adeyemi.
He said, “I was a victim, and I’m sure if you watch the news, you would see my picture all over the screen side by side with the purported DG of this organization.”
Recounting his experience, Kalu said information about the organisation was confusing and never looked credible to him.
He stressed, “In May 2025, my office got a letter, and that letter had the Presidency as letterhead, also bearing Office of the Director General, PFIPC.
“When I saw this, I looked down the letterhead, I saw Federal Secretariat Complex, phase three, second floor Central Business District. It was a bit confusing for me. Some of the information looked credible, some did not.
“I now sent my team to go and verify the existence of this organization in the said address. My team came back confirming that this organization was in the said location. I now gave approval for them to come to have the interaction with me.”
