Nollywood actor turned Politician and member reprsenting Surulere State Constituency 1 in the Lagos State Hosue of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, has clarified his reported withdrawal from the process as fake news.
Mr Elliot who spoke to newsmen at the Surulere venue of the Assembly primaries disclosed that he did not announce his withdrawal from the race.

Going further, he added that what he did with his supporters was to withdraw his agents due to alleged intimidation and harassment and to avoid violence.
Mr Elliot said the party is the only place or organ that can direct him to withdraw and will comply because he believes in the supremacy of the party.
He vowed to appeal the process that has led to so much intimidation and harassment of his person and that of his supporters.
The digital space was originally taken over by the reported withdrawal of Mr Desmond Elliot from the Lagos State House of Assemly All Progressives Congress taicket race for Surulere constituency 1 in a video he made.
This clarification has now put paid to the supposed withdrawal by the actor turned Politician.
