Income Rises: FG, States, LGs Share N1.681tn from April 2025 Allocation — FAAC

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a complete of ₦1.681 trillion to the Federal Authorities, 36 states, and 774 native authorities councils as income for the month of April 2025.

This displays a 6.5% enhance (₦110 billion) in comparison with the ₦1.578 trillion shared in March.

This was disclosed in an announcement on Friday by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations on the Workplace of the Accountant-Basic of the Federation.

In response to Mokwa, the income was distributed throughout FAAC’s month-to-month assembly held in Could 2025 in Abuja. The allocation comprised revenues from statutory sources, VAT, the Digital Cash Switch Levy (EMTL), and trade charge positive aspects.

“The overall distributable income of ₦1.681tn comprised ₦962.88bn from statutory income, ₦598.08bn from VAT, ₦38.86bn from EMTL, and ₦81.41bn from trade distinction,” the assertion famous.

Breakdown of VAT

Gross VAT income for April stood at ₦642.265bn, marking a rise of ₦4.647bn from the earlier month. From this, ₦25.691bn was put aside as price of assortment, and ₦18.497bn allotted for transfers and refunds.

The remaining ₦598.08bn was distributed among the many three tiers of presidency:

Federal Authorities: ₦89.712bn

States: ₦299.039bn

Native Governments: ₦209.327bn

Statutory Income Distribution

April’s gross statutory income amounted to ₦2.084tn, a big rise from ₦1.718tn recorded in March — representing a ₦365.595bn enhance.
