The executives of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Osun State Chapter on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Osun Command, CP Ibrahim Gotan, mnips.
The delegation was received by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Finance and Administration, DCP Alalade D. Adio, psc on behalf of Gotan.
The aims of the visit, according to the command, centered on the security of their schools and the state in general.
The DCP in his welcome address thanked them for the visit and urged them to be security conscious at all times.
He equally advised them to have a cordial relationship with the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and other security agencies covering their schools and involve them in their PTA meeting.
He further enjoined them to ensure they erect perimeter fence in their schools.
The DCP urged the NAPPS delegation to pass the message of the commissioner to the parents of their students/pupils to be calm, saying “the Command is very much aware of the security situation in the country and all necessary security measures have been put in place to guarantee safety of lives and property and that spreading of false information is a criminal offence.”
The leader of the delegation and NAPPS President Dr. Adewumi in his response on behalf of the association thanked the DCP for the warm reception given and promised to work with the police command to ensure safety of their students/pupils.
