The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, has authorized the appointment of ASP Sunday Eitokpah Akata as the brand new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Cross River State Police Command, in a transfer aimed toward strengthening the Command’s public communication and stakeholder engagement.
The appointment was disclosed in a press assertion issued by CSP Irene Ugbo, ANIPR, the outgoing Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, who famous that the posting takes instant impact. He described the event as a part of the continued efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to reposition its data administration structure and deepen public belief by efficient, skilled communication.
ASP Akata, an indigene of Edo State, was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force in 2022 as an Assistant Superintendent of Police after efficiently finishing a rigorous five-year educational {and professional} coaching on the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy. During the programme, he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) diploma in Biochemistry, a background that underscores his self-discipline, analytical capability {and professional} grounding.
