The International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) has added a diamond necklace stolen from Vienna’s Museum of Applied Arts to its Stolen Works of Art database.
INTERPOL disclosed this in a post on its X handle on Saturday, August 29, 2026, saying Austrian authorities listed the jewellery among stolen works of art.
According to the organisation, the necklace is adorned with 673 diamonds and previously belonged to Queen Nazli of Egypt.

“This necklace, stolen from an exhibit at Vienna’s Museum of Applied Arts, has been added to INTERPOL’s Stolen Works of Art database by Austrian authorities,” INTERPOL said.
The international police organisation added that the piece “once belonged to Queen Nazli of Egypt.”
The database is used to circulate information on stolen cultural property and assist law enforcement agencies in identifying and recovering missing works of art.
