Iran dismisses Trump's rejection of peace response as 'irrelevant'

US President Donald Trump’s rejection of Iran’s response to an American peace plan has been dismissed as irrelevant by Tehran, with semi-official media reporting that the move “doesn’t matter at all.”

An informed source told the Tasnim News Agency: “No one in Iran writes proposals to please Trump,” stressing that the negotiating team drafts plans solely based on the rights of the Iranian people.

The source added that if Trump was dissatisfied with the proposal, “then it is naturally better.”

This defiance has followed Trump’s statement on his Truth Social platform, where he described the response from Iran’s “so-called representatives” as “totally unacceptable.”
