Iran warned on Tuesday that one of its responses could include uranium enrichment up to 90 percent purity in case of a renewed offensive by the US and Israel on its territory.
90 percent purity level is considered weapons grade.
“We will review it in the parliament,” said Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, in a post on X.
Rezaei’s remarks came amid escalating regional tensions after the US and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28, triggering retaliation from Tehran against Israel, as well as US allies in the Gulf hosting American assets, along with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
