Isaac Fayose has reacted to a viral video showing him with Seyi Tinubu and socialite Cubana Chief Priest, clarifying that the meeting took place after his interview on Arise News and insisting it does not signal a change in his political allegiance.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Fayose said he spent time with Seyi Tinubu, Cubana Chief Priest, and others after the interview. According to him, Seyi Tinubu accompanied him to his car, where they prayed together.
> “Yes, I spent quality time with Seyi Tinubu, Cubana Chief Priest, and others last night after my interview with Arise News.
> Seyi walked me to my car, and we decided to pray together. We prayed for Mr. President, and we prayed for ourselves.
> I love Tinubu. There is no hate in my DNA. They also respect my decision to support, vote for, and campaign for my own candidate, Peter Obi, and we still remain family.
> We do politics without hate. I’m still 100% Obidient.”
Fayose’s clarification comes after a leaked video circulated online, sparking reactions and speculation that he had endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid for the 2027 general election despite being a known supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Responding to the speculation, Fayose maintained that while he has cordial relationships across political divides, his support for Peter Obi remains unchanged. He stressed that political differences should not prevent mutual respect and personal relationships.
