An Israeli drone strike killed two Palestinians and injured several others near a water distribution station in Gaza City on Sunday, while a Palestinian report detailed mounting restrictions at major Islamic holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Gaza Civil Defence said the drone targeted civilians gathered outside a water distribution point in the Al-Samer area, east of Gaza City, describing the attack as another violation of the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025.
Despite the truce, the Israeli military has continued daily strikes across Gaza, where shattered streets and ruined neighbourhoods remain trapped in a cycle of violence.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said Israeli attacks since the ceasefire have killed 1,066 people and injured 3,445 others, while Israel now occupies about 70 percent of the Palestinian enclave.
The ministry added that Israel’s genocidal war, launched on October 7, 2023, has devastated nearly 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure and killed more than 73,000 Palestinians.
