Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Sydney Egere, popularly known as Sydney Talker, has publicly revealed that he will mark four years of celibacy on July 27, 2026.
Sydney Talker shared this in a video message shared via his social media page on Wednesday.
The social media personality disclosed that July 27 would mark four years since he last shared a bed with a woman, describing the journey as difficult but rewarding.
He clarified his journey by stating, “Technically, what I am trying to say is I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the past four years.”
He admitted the process has not been easy but credited his discipline to his faith, noting that it has been sustained by God’s grace.
Reflecting on the experience, Sydney Talker added, “It’s not been easy, but I thank God. It is not by my power nor by my strength but by His grace.”
The comedian explained that staying away from emotional distractions gave him the opportunity to study the content creation industry and think about long-term success.
“In these past four years, I have studied my industry, content creation and I have come to a conclusion that if we do not put some things in place now, we will never get wealthy, so I took out time to study and stayed away from emotional activities and found solutions that will really help us as content creators,” he said.
According to Sydney Talker, the period of celibacy enabled him to develop ideas and solutions that could benefit not only his career but also the broader content creation industry.
