US Vice President JD Vance made a light-hearted remark while speaking to reporters during discussions related to the ongoing US-Iran talks in Switzerland. Vance joked that the two most important people in his life are an Indian and a Pakistani.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, JD Vance said, “I often say there are two very important people in my life. One is Indian and the other is Pakistani. The Indian is my wife Usha Vance, and the Pakistani is Field Marshal Asim Munir.”
His comments came during discussions surrounding diplomatic efforts involving the United States and Iran.
Vance said the talks are currently focused on technical aspects of a possible agreement. Although differences remain, he noted that all parties are now sitting together and working as one team.
He added that the discussions are helping negotiators understand the key concerns of each side and identify ways to resolve them.
