The Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Dr. Peer Lubasch, has commended President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for accelerating infrastructure development across Abuja.
Lubasch spoke at a gala dinner marking the conclusion of 31 days of project inaugurations and groundbreaking ceremonies held to celebrate Abuja’s 50th anniversary.
He said the completed roads, bridges, public facilities and other infrastructure projects had improved transportation, enhanced public services and stimulated economic activities in the nation’s capital.
The Julius Berger chief credited the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda for prioritising infrastructure development, adding that the projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.
He also praised Wike for driving the completion of abandoned projects and initiating new ones, saying the pace of infrastructure delivery had restored confidence in Abuja’s development.
Lubasch described Abuja as one of Africa’s leading planned cities, noting that the recent projects have positioned the Federal Capital Territory for sustained growth.
He reaffirmed Julius Berger’s commitment to supporting the development of the capital, recalling the company’s role in constructing several of Abuja’s major roads, bridges and public buildings since the city’s inception.
Lubasch also acknowledged the contributions of other construction firms, consultants, engineers and workers involved in the projects, describing the achievements as a collective success for Nigeria’s construction industry.
He said sustained collaboration between government and the private sector would be critical to meeting Abuja’s future infrastructure needs.
