Ekiti House of Assembly candidate under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party( PDP) Hon. Daniel Ayodeji Ogunbusuyi has urged Ekiti voters to elect the party ‘s governorship candidate, Dr Wole Oluyede with a promise that the PDP government would end poverty, insecurity and unemployment if returned into power .
Speaking at the sidelines of Oluyede Campaign Rally in Ido- Ekiti ,Ogunbusuyi said the PDP governorship candidate will deliver on his promises by ending the peoples suffering.
“I want to urge our people to come out en-mass on the day of election and vote for our candidate, Dr. Oluwole Oluyede. He is bringing fresh ideas into governing Ekiti State. He will ensure things are done differently for the good of our people.
“More importantly, l want to urge our people not to shun voting. If you say your votes don’t count and shun voting , then you are giving the chance for election riggers to come and vote and manipulate the system against you. I have urging my people not to shun the elections, but they should come out en-mass and vote and wait to defend their votes, this way, no one will be able to rig the elections.
“Let me also advise our people to stop selling their votes because this is one big challenge that we have. Electorates get tokens and sell their votes and put the wrong people in government. These people get to power and fail to deliver dividends of democracy for hay. This should stop. “
” I am from ldo-Ekiti, I am contesting for the member , House of Assembly Ekiti state to represent ldo-Osi constituency 1, under the flagship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),
“Even when I didn’t nurse the ambition to contest, I have been rendering assistance for people. I have been organizing summer coaching for our students , from primary school to the senior secondary level . We paid for the teachers to teach these students .
” Besides this, my foundation also distributes exercise books to students whenever they are about to resume at school as a way of supporting them. We do such distribution from the end of August to early September every year. We also provide succor the less privileged, such as the widows and orphans. We also assist graduates to get employment and empower others to start up small-scale businesses so they can be self-employed.
“We also sponsored skill acquisition training on ICT for other youths, and this has empowers them to be self-employed.
We have equally supported youths who are gifted in sports to become successful in life. We have sponsored many of these youths to be players for some clubs and they are still doing this till today.
” We are all gathered here today to rally round our party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Oluwole Oluyede who has come to our local government area for a campaign.
“Many of our people didn’t initially believe me when I told them some time ago that l want to contest but today they now realize that l mean it. So, the teeming crowd you are seeing here today in Ido are here to show their support for our governorship candidate Dr. Oluyede and myself.
In the same vein, l am bringing new ideas I will give our people quality representation and effective leadership. I am a listening person. I listen to the yearnings of my people and l promise that l will always do what will make them happy.
Whil serving as the Secretary of the Adamimogo football club and the Head of administration of the church for many years, l have demonstrated the capacity to handle so many things and also manage people and resources to achieve desired results. I can assure you that with my educational background and training as a political scientist l can effectively manage and direct the affairs of people and reliance’s well. I have cultivated the method of a servant-leader in leading my people and this is why we work together in harmony and achieve great results. “
Speaking about his manifesto, he said:”I have mapped out plans to ensure that we solve some problems that my constituency is facing. One of them is community development. I noticed, for example, that we have to reply to communal efforts in fixing the problem of drainage systems in our communities.we have bad roads in our communities because of poor drainage systems. But I know that with concerted efforts we can fix this.
“Again, l will urge my people to come out en-mass to support and vote massively for the candidate of our party.
