As the governorship election took place in Ekiti State, legal practitioner and political analyst Dr. Sunday J. Ochayi said the election was peaceful and free from any form of malpractice in the areas he visited. Speaking during an interview on NTA Network, Ochayi said he personally went out early in the day to cast his vote and everything went smoothly without any problems.
He reacted to reports spreading online that some voters were allegedly asked to write their names on separate lists after voting. According to him, although he heard those claims, he did not witness anything like that at his polling unit.
