President Bola Tinubu is meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting, initially scheduled for 4pm at the council chamber, began around 5pm after it was moved to the conference room of the president’s office.
Governors in attendance include Babagana Zulum of Borno, Hope Uzodimma of Imo, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe, Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Peter Mbah of Enugu, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, among others.
Some states are represented by their deputy governors. The purpose of the meeting had not been disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
The meeting comes hours after Tinubu held an emergency closed-door session with the leadership of the Senate.
