Our consideration has been drawn to stories alleging that King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate) displayed unruly conduct whereas making an attempt to board a ValueJet flight on August 5, 2025, allegedly inflicting a breach of aviation protocol.
We want to categorically state that this narrative just isn’t solely exaggerated but in addition deceptive.
At no level did K1 act in a way that endangered lives or breached security laws. The substance in query — which was wrongly sensationalized — was nothing greater than plain ingesting water, given to him on the airport lounge whereas he waited to board the plane. Despite his respectful effort to make clear this, the state of affairs was unnecessarily escalated.
Claims that K1 blocked the plane or tried to disrupt operations are fully unfounded. The veteran artiste, who’s globally revered and continuously travels each domestically and internationally, understands and strictly adheres to aviation protocols.
If certainly there had been something inappropriate in his conduct, the Head of Airport Security, officers from related businesses equivalent to FAAN and NCAA, in addition to the Chairman and Managing Director of the airline, wouldn’t have reached out personally to enchantment, tender apologies, and even go so far as arranging a personal jet to fly him to Lagos — without charge. Despite persistent persuasion from the airline’s high executives, K1 graciously declined the supply.
It should even be emphasised that K1 was the sufferer on this incident. No one else however him and his private assistant was immediately concerned. A couple of involved passengers who witnessed the incident firsthand appealed to him to stay calm, recognizing the undue stress he was underneath.
