Stakeholders and community-based organisations in Gobirawa ward of Dala Local Government Area have expressed appreciation to Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what they described as impactful developmental projects in the area.
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Dr Dahiru M. Hashim, on Thursday, who represented the government during a meeting with the groups.
He noted that the gathering provided an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to assess ongoing projects and reaffirm their support for the administration.
According to the statement, the stakeholders acknowledged several interventions by the state government, including the renovation of schools, the provision of potable water, free medical outreach services, road rehabilitation, construction of drainage systems, and the empowerment of women and youths through various skills and business initiatives.

Dr Hashim said the government has also concluded plans, with the approval of the governor, to organise a large-scale empowerment programme aimed at providing financial support and capital to individuals engaged in different trades.
