The Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has commended security forces for the successful rescue of 21 kidnapped victims in Dekina Local Government Area, describing the operation as a demonstration of effective inter-agency collaboration.
The victims, comprising eight males and 13 females, were rescued on Monday following the abduction of road users along the Alloma–Ejule–Itobe road axis.
Combined security agencies conducted coordinated search operations in the Egume and Ochaja forest areas, leading to the rescue of all 21 victims.
According to a statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, Governor Ododo insists that criminals will always regret stepping their feet into Kogi State, as his administration will never bow to cowards who take up arms against the state.

Governor Ododo also thanked President Bola Tinubu and the heads of the security agencies for equipping and supporting the forces to combat violent crimes.
