Kumail Ali Nanjiani was born on 21st February 1978 in Karachi Sindh, Pakistan. He was born to an Asian, Muslim family. He is the son of Shabana and Aijaz Nanjiani and the eldest of two brothers. His younger brother’s name is Zain Nanjiani. Nanjiani spent most of his childhood in Karachi, where he completed his O Levels studies at St. Michaels Convent. He later joined Karachi Grammar School for his A-Levels, and thereafter he went to Grinnell College in the US. He majored in computer science and philosophy, graduating in 2001.
