“Kwankwaso Has Never Delivered Kano State” — Ex-Buhari Aide Claims

Former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has stated that former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has never been able to deliver Kano State to any presidential candidate despite his political influence in the state.

Ahmad made the remark while reacting to comments credited to the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, regarding the political relevance of Kwankwaso and former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi.

The former presidential aide described the situation as a “stubborn political fact,” insisting that historical election records do not support claims that Kwankwaso possesses the electoral strength to single-handedly deliver Kano State during presidential elections.

In a post shared on X, Ahmad wrote: “Let me remind the concerned individuals of this stubborn political fact, history clearly shows that Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has never successfully delivered Kano State to any presidential candidate.”

He further questioned the political standing of the PRP in comparison to both Obi and Kwankwaso.

“Politically, I am not for Peter Obi or Rabiu Kwankwaso, but let’s be honest, does the PRP today have candidates more popular or politically relevant than these two individuals?” he added.
