Lawyer and public affairs analyst Liborous Oshoma has questioned the National Assembly’s handling of former Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, over his reported failure to appear before lawmakers amid discussions surrounding the company’s financial management.
Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Oshoma expressed concern over reports that Kyari did not honour an invitation from the National Assembly. He argued that lawmakers should have taken a firmer position in demanding explanations from the former NNPCL boss instead of accepting his reported absence.
