A faction of the Labour Party (LP) led by the Nenadi Usman Caretaker Committee has announced the suspension of 26 members loyal to the Julius Abure-led faction.
Naijaonpoint reports that the development was disclosed in a post shared on the faction’s official 𝕏 handle.
According to the statement, the decision followed the approval of the faction’s National Executive Council.
The suspended members, whose names were published in …, were accused of aligning with the rival faction within the party.
The Nenadi-led caretaker committee noted that it derives its authority from a Supreme Court judgment delivered on April 4, 2025.
The apex court had sacked Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the party, a decision that has continued to shape the ongoing leadership tussle within the Labour Party.
