Lagos State University International School (LASUIS) has announced an internal and external recruitment exercise for qualified candidates to fill key academic and administrative positions within the school.

LASUIS is a co-educational secondary school located on the main campus of Lagos State University in Ojo, Lagos. The school officially commenced operations on 16 September 2016 and operates within Nigeria’s educational philosophy while incorporating international standards.

Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications

Principal (Chief Education Officer – GL 14)
Applicants must have:

• A good Honours degree in Education (minimum of Second Class Upper Division)
• Certification from the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN)
• At least 15 years post-qualification experience
• Minimum of 5 years in an administrative role as Head of a School
• ICT proficiency and additional qualifications will be an added advantage

Subject Teachers Requirements

Physics Teacher

• B.Sc. (Ed) in Physics Education (Second Class Upper minimum)
• NYSC Discharge Certificate
• TRCN certification

Chemistry Teacher

• B.Sc. (Ed) in Chemistry Education (Second Class Upper minimum)
• NYSC Discharge Certificate
• TRCN certification

Social Studies Teacher

• B.A. (Ed) in Social Studies or Political Science Education
• Second Class Upper minimum
• NYSC Discharge Certificate
• TRCN certification

Creative and Cultural Arts Teacher

• B.A. (Ed) or B.Sc. (Ed) in Creative Arts, Fine or Applied Arts
• Second Class Upper minimum
• NYSC Discharge Certificate
• TRCN certification

Basic Technology Teacher

• B.Sc., B.Tech, or B.Ed in Technical Education, Engineering, Architecture or related fields
• Second Class Upper minimum
• NYSC Discharge Certificate
• TRCN certification

Music Teacher

• B.A. (Ed) in Music
• Second Class Upper minimum
• NYSC Discharge Certificate
• TRCN certification

For all teaching roles, additional qualifications and ICT proficiency will be considered an advantage.
