Linda clinched the award for her role in “The Herd,” one of the most talked about productions at this year’s ceremony, further cementing her growing reputation in the Nigerian film industry.
Akindele, who was nominated for her performance in “Behind the Scenes,” missed out on the prestigious award despite being considered one of the strongest contenders in the category.
Other nominees included Olamide Kidbaby for “Oversabi Aunty,” Bisola Aiyeola for “Gingerrr,” veteran actress Sola Sobowale for “The Covenant Series,” Nadia Dutch for “Aljana,” Amal Umar for “The Herd,” and Juliebrenda Nyambura for “MTV Shuga Mashariki.”
