A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck near Miami in the US state of Texas on Thursday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake took place at 1021GMT and originated at a depth of 5.7 kilometers (3.54 miles), USGS said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
