Indigenous fragrance and body care brand, Majestic Roobee, has unveiled what it describes as Abuja’s first experiential perfume studio, introducing a space where customers can create personalised fragrances tailored to their preferences.
The studio offers visitors the opportunity to blend their own perfumes using natural ingredients, premium fragrance oils and essential oils, combining creativity, self-expression and wellness in a luxury setting.
Speaking at the launch in Abuja, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Majestic Roobee, Jonathan Peace, said the initiative was designed to move beyond the conventional practice of purchasing ready-made perfumes by allowing customers to create scents that reflect their individuality.
According to her, the company developed the concept after more than six years in the fragrance industry, driven by increasing demand for personalised perfume experiences and safer, skin-friendly products made with natural ingredients.
She noted that the studio aims to provide consumers with a hands-on experience while encouraging the use of high-quality fragrance components that promote wellness.
The unveiling attracted beauty enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, influencers and fragrance lovers, many of whom described the initiative as the first of its kind in the Federal Capital Territory.
Participants at the event engaged in perfume-making sessions, creating custom fragrances from a variety of International Fragrance Association (IFRA)-approved aroma compounds and essential oils.
Many of the guests described the experience as creative, therapeutic and refreshing, while others praised the studio’s ambience for blending luxury with relaxation and giving customers complete control over the fragrances they wear.
Peace also called for greater government support for indigenous manufacturers in Nigeria’s fragrance and cosmetics industry, saying access to affordable financing, improved export opportunities and lower import duties on essential raw materials would enable local brands to compete more effectively in international markets.
She challenged the perception that locally produced fragrances are inferior to imported products, insisting that Nigerian manufacturers possess the expertise and capacity to produce world-class fragrances that meet international standards.
Also speaking at the event, Majestic Roobee associate Jennifer Ibrahim urged consumers to choose authentic fragrances formulated with safe ingredients, warning against products containing harsh chemicals that could pose health risks.
She advised users to exercise caution when applying alcohol-based perfumes to sensitive areas of the body and called for stronger collaboration between government agencies and indigenous beauty businesses to improve consumer awareness and enhance the competitiveness of locally made brands.
The company said the launch of the perfume studio marks a new chapter for experiential fragrance retail in Abuja, providing a platform where luxury, creativity and wellness intersect while showcasing the growing potential of Nigerian-made premium fragrances.
