“Many of them have been accused by EFCC of corruption” – Isaac Fayose tackles APC Presidential Campaign Committee

Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has criticised the APC Presidential Campaign Committee, questioning the credibility of some of its members ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Taking to his Instagram page, Fayose alleged that several individuals on the committee have previously been accused of financial crimes by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to him, Nigerians should examine the names on the committee and research the allegations against its members before deciding whether to support the ruling party.

“When you look at APC Presidential Campaign Committee, you will find out that many of them have been accused by EFCC of financial crime. Go and check the list. Check the name one by one. Many of them have been accused by EFCC of corruption,” he said.

The younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose also questioned the inclusion of former Zamfara State governor Bello Matawalle, who he alleged had faced corruption allegations in the past.

He argued that cases involving political figures could be affected when those individuals remain influential within the ruling party.

“Don’t you think your vote will keep them in power to eat more of your money? Because if new government come now, they will change EFCC status quo. Then they can investigate them properly,” he added.

Fayose further urged Nigerians to consider the impact of their votes, arguing that bad governance, rather than a lack of resources, was responsible for many of the challenges facing the country.

His comments come as political parties and their supporters begin preparations for the 2027 general elections, with the composition of campaign structures already attracting public attention.

Fayose called on Nigerians to scrutinise political candidates and those campaigning on their behalf before deciding who to support in the election.
