British-Nigerian author Chidera Eggerue, has made a strong shocking claims about marital unions and the benefits. While speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Chidera argued that marriage was created mainly to favor men.

She revealed that contrary to popular expectations of women, she will leave her partner if he loses his wealth.

“Marriage as a system already was designed to benefit men. Marriage allows for even the poorest of men to still have a companion. And yes, if that man that I’m with, let’s say he loses his money, right? Because that’s the thing women hear a lot; ‘You want a rich man, well what if he loses his money?’ right? We fantasize about the idea of a woman who likes rich men being with a man who loses his money. Guess what? He loses his money, he loses me. I move on,” she said.

Chidera defended her opinion on marriage expectations of women in relationships, stressing that she does not care about sounding subtle to make men feel better.

“I’m here to represent the women who are not going to p¥ssyfoot around trying to make men feel better,” she said.
