The Osun State Chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has been hit by a mass exodus as the State Chairman, Dr Tosin Odeyemi, and several national, zonal and state executives have resigned from the party.
NAIJAONPOINT reports that Odeyemi, who has led the party in the state for the past six years, submitted his resignation letter on Friday, July 16, 2026, citing the protracted crisis rocking the party at the national level.
Meanwhile, his resignation triggered a wave of exits, with key officers across different levels of the party structure also dumping the NNPP.
In separate resignation letters, the Deputy National Women Leader, Hon. Solape Olatunbosun, announced her withdrawal from the party.
Also, the Zonal Secretary, Southwest, Hon. Olalekan Fabayo, resigned from the party, saying his decision followed “careful consideration and personal reflection of his political journey.”
