A massive whale has been discovered washed ashore on a beach in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, attracting large crowds of curious residents who gathered to witness the rare and extraordinary sight early this morning.
Footage of the beaching shows the enormous grey marine mammal lying on the sand, its sheer size immediately apparent as onlookers standing beside it appear dwarfed by the animal’s body.
A large crowd is visible in the background, with residents from surrounding areas converging on the beach to see the whale at close range.
